Blockchain technology is emerging as a cornerstone of the new era,

providing trust in data and asset transactions while drastically reducing costs.
It is no longer just an option for the future but an essential, innovative platform expanding its reach across various sectors. From finance and healthcare to
logistics and public services, blockchain is transforming societal systems
and reshaping traditional business models.

In response to this trend, we have established the Blockchain Research Instituteat
Korea University to promote a clear understanding of blockchain technology
and its business applications.

Our six research centers focus on core blockchain technologies, legal frameworks, business models, and information in healthcare and logistics.

Our mission is to develop cutting-edge blockchain technologies and foster interdisciplinary research, positioning our nation as a future leader in blockchain just as we have been in the internet era.
